Did terrorist try to bomb Tampa International Airport today?

Look suspicious?
I found a"suspicious package" tucked away in the arrival concourse today at Tampa International Airport. I took the steps from the taxi staging area to the bottom floor where the arrival area is located. This is where the bathrooms are at. Next to the service elevator was a brown box with two suitcases inside. They looked nondescript but looked way to neatly packed for someone who had decided to discard old luggage. What is strange is that in 21 years of working this airport, I have never seen any thing like this.

When I came out of the men's room, the box was still there. The concourse was deserted.  There was nobody on this level.  Strange.  Who would leave such a thing behind.  I do not want to get all paranoid but what the fuck was this. The overhead intercom kept saying "if you see anything suspicious, report it to authorities." That is what I was now going to do. Forget about my taxi upstairs, this involved saving lives.

Placed out of the way
Now, here is a real problem. There WERE NO SECURITY PERSONAL IN THE AIRPORT. WTF! You would think that in light of recent events, an airport would be crawling with personal. This place was not. Why!? I started running around in the concourse and there was nobody! I went outside where the Uber drivers were loading what used to be our customers (until the cowardly piece of shit taxi commission folded to political correctness) and could find no security personal.

No security to be found
I almost started yelling out "BOMB" "GET OUT OF HERE.'  I really did not give a shit because I thought this side of the airport was ready to blow. I ran back into the terminal.

This time I found the courtesy desk and told the lady to call the police.  She did and it still took 15 minutes for them to show up.  Finally, someone else showed up with a metal box on wheels and they hauled it away.  Was it a bomb? We will never know because I am sure they will not disclose that to the public.

One thing is certain. You are not safe at the Tampa airport. Yes, they do have a decoy police car as you enter on the road leading into the airport with its lights on. That is because writing speeding tickets is the priority of the TIA cops.  Not national security.

Happy Hillary Halloween

Is there anything scarier than Hillary. Some would say Donald Trump, perhaps. My friend set this up on his porch and I thought it was pretty cool. It's not really a political statement, it's just trying to show humor. Keep in mind, that we do live in an era where people seem to have lost their sense of humor. Anyway, if he done it with Donald Trump I would have still laughed. Happy Halloween!

Gabriel

Elena wanted me to post photos from Gabriel's first birthday party. Sorry I did not take more images but my phone went dead. Here is a stressed out hippy mama. You got to admit, Gabriel is a handsome young man. posted from Bloggeroid

BREAKING: HILLARY COLLAPSES IN NYC, STRUGGLES TO WALK, LOSES SHOE, RUSHE...

And you thought I was full of shit. Hillary is dying and needs to go to hospice and let the Presidency go to a more fit person. The lies are beyond belief. You liberals would vote for her if she was dead on election night and in a coffin. Alvin Toffler was right.

Yankee spring training photo shoot

I was in downtown Tampa this afternoon and saw a photographer working with a model in a skimpy baseball uniform. It had to be for some New York publication. The Yankees are here for spring training. There had to be a connection. She did have nice legs. posted from Bloggeroid

Pam Callahan Nature Preserve

I took a hike today in Pam Callahan Memorial Park and enjoyed this cool air. She was an environmental advocate who fought to protect this nature preserve from development. If you have a couple hours you can have a relaxing hike, and explore the new loop trail. What's cool is you will never know you are so close to civilization. I had fun.

The political decision process on Uber

Today at the hockey arena in downtown Tampa, all of the local Tampa Bay state representatives and senators gathered  for the transportation hearing. What was first and foremost on the agenda was the subject of uber and its relationship to the Tampa Bay community. Both sides offered their reasons many of them anecdotal in nature. (Senator Jeff Brandes from St Petersburg, the one Center in the picture, came across as an arrogant asshole. He was rude and belligerent and combative with all speakers. This is an example of someone who bullied his way into a political position, no doubt. Sorry for the sidebar). State senator Arthenia Joyner was the best of the lot. She asked the most pointed questions and dug deep into the real issues. She pointed out to the room that seemed surprised to find out that all of the fees that apply to the cab companies by regulation uber has none of that. There are insurance requirements, licenses and fees, and fees associated with the airport authorit...

Tampa from behind the wheel of a taxi cab

I shot this video a couple years ago when my computer was functional. I really need to get a new one. Anyway, I hope you like this. I did put some work into it.

The Taxi Driver who found Bigfoot (Documentary Film)

It seems that I may have been the only person in recent years that has actually found Bigfoot. I am a cab driver and this short documentary is about what I go thru and what I have been doing long before the Animal Planet "Finding Bigfoot" was on TV. They consider me a maverick but screw 'em.

Monday morning

Business has been slow. I'm not going to beat around the bush. I need shoes and shoe strings. I am broke and struggling. I am tired, frustrated, and dealing with real anger issues. I need time off, money, and rest. I can find none of this. My entire situation sucks. I want to blame someone. What compounds all of this are drivers willing to work around the clock for scant money (that forces me to do the same). I am exhausted and wish I could get a break. I do think one is coming up. United Cab is doing all they can do but the economy has greatly increased their expenses. I do hope to have a happier post at the end if the day.
