Tim Fasano Portrait Shots

Tim Fasano Tim Register, a professional photographer shot images of me in his studio last Friday. Considering who his model was, and what side of the camera I would rather be on, I thought he did a fantastic job. He was actually shooting me for publicity shots of an upcoming reality TV show that his production company is filming. Gee, I wonder who just may be on this show..it does involve Bigfoot. Anyway, I asked him if he could take some portraits for my photography blog. He was more than willing. Again, he did a fantastic job. He even shot them in RAW and photoshoped them a bit. I like them and I guess that is all that matters. Tim Fasano Photos

Tim Fasano is alive!

At the doctors office today my blood pressure measured 123/66. The diastolic was actually a little low! You people who are not emotionally involved (like what is left of my family) have no idea how significate this is. The hard work of resistance training and metabolic cardio conditioning has brought me from a state of congestive heart failure to a super charged heart!! I am beating this diseases ass and it fells wonderful. The best part is that I am just reaching the stage where I will be able to turn this up several notches. The best is yet to come. I am now on my way to a different life. My goal is next month to go on a solo backpacking overnight hike in the Green Swamp of several miles and camp out. I now know I  have the physical conditioning to do this. You have no idea how great his feels. I am celebrating life!

2017 will be big for this blog and the taxi industry in Tampa

Sitting at my computer at home I have been able to resolve many things in my life that will finally give me the time to make considered post to this blog. Believe me, life can really get in the way. It can come at you from many directions and you are not always prepared for that. One of the cruel ironies of life is that it will advance weather you are ready for it or not. Resolution is a good thing. And I believe I have crossed some watersheds to get to where I am at now. I have many things going on in my life but the most important was to work on my health. When you are looking at death, that does become your priority. That situation is improving, and so am I. 2017 should be an awesome year for me on many fronts. That will be great because I can honestly say I have not had an awesome year in the last 8 years. The Obama years were not great for me. Lets just leave it at that. The time and effort I have put into the workout program I am on has been well worth it. It is finally...

My Place

The duck says hello This is my crib in Clearwater. I have the basics covered, table and chairs, pots & pans, bed, chest of drawers, and so forth. My sister in law sent me pillows, blankets, towels, bowls, years ago. I can now use them. It is my home and I am happy here. I'm starting over People have done that before.

What chlorine does ti your hair

I say its blonde. My friends say its grey. Either way, it is no longer the brown hair I had when I started working out last April. I am stepping up my training in a more focused way because I want to race in a Masters meet in the Spring. My race pace training program should have me ready. posted from Bloggeroid

Victor Crist is a political coward

He is a huge Uber supporter and leaves the taxi companies to twist.  Victor Crist is a political coward. After an un-distinguished tenure in the Florida Legislature, he is out to save his current job while former political enemies attempt to shut the HCPTC down. I attended the transportation meeting the other day and found it to be a rigged deck. The commission is charged with regulating all for hire vehicles in the Hillsborough County. They distribute medallions and make sure cars are in running order and proper insurance has been issued for cars. They are also charged with shutting the gypsy cabs down. Now, a giant gypsy cab operation has hit Tampa and they don't have any way to deal with it. I photo bombed the commission with by beautiful mug Uber has taken all of our cash business. They are a gypsy cab company. Crist admitted he must now placate certain politicians, or his board with be shut down. So be it. The cab companies may soon shut down because Crist too...

New and the old

People who remember the old Tampa Taxi Shots know that I am a bit of a photographer. I am been around it along time, and just work hard at it. I have a massive collection of images and have them stored on disk. I have always wanted to share them with others for they do no good just sitting around in a shoe box, when they should be on the net. Click image for large size This photo was taken at Hillsborough River State Park in 2003 when I got my first digital camera. Wow, the technology has changed but this one was a DSLR and I was able to adjust shutter speed and exposure to get this effect. The river rapids The river rapids at Hillsborough River State Park are the only rapids in the state. I was able to find another in my hiking in the woods but it must have been unclassified or unknown. This is one of the directions this blog will now be taking. I have also returned to the TampaTaxi.Blogspot URL. The reason is the dot net deal only confused Google searchers for they did n...

Tampa's Ghost

Well, searching for a good image. I had this concept of juxtaposing the modern skyline of downtown Tampa with the Gothic theme of Oaklawn cemetery. Sunday morning was calm with nobody around. I found my shot but could only notice the state of care for this historic place. They need to at least cut the grass. Everyone from slaves to a Florida governor are buried here. posted from Bloggeroid

The Emergency Room

I went to my doctor today because I was not feeling well. He sent me to Tampa General because of extremely high blood pressure (212/110). Now, I really did not feel well. I drove to the shop and had a driver friend of mine give me a ride. When you have doctor's paper work, they take you right in and there is no waiting for hours. I was glad for that. I was given iv and they got it down to 130/70 wow! A hot LPN hooked me up. I sort of thought that nurse fantasy of mine might come true. Not today. After an afternoon in the hospital, I am home and feeling better. I need some major lifestyle changes. Big time lifestyle changes coming soon. posted from Bloggeroid

From back in the day

The Meters Running blog

I am entering a new phase of my life. The economy is getting better and things are finally beginning to improve. I should soon have a new computer, and finally get back to serious posting.  Viewers from years ago expected it. Time is marching on; Tim is marching on... hence the metaphor of the taxi meter running. I started blogging in 2005 during the heady days of the Tampa blog scene explosion. It was new and fun and I could not wait to get home and blog about the daily trips I had. Something changed along the way, however. The United States economy fell apart like a three dollar watch, killing hope and breaking the spirit of many. Most of the local bloggers just went away. Their dormant blogs left abandoned years ago, a testament to a vital community killed off by fast change and greed. Many Tampa blogs  still show the last post from way back. During this time, FaceBook was taking off and it seems to be where most people are at. The blogging scene just a faded memory f...

Grey Hair

I did not know my hair had gotten this gray. The stress from social media and seven years of recession has taken its toll. posted from Bloggeroid

Tim Fasano back in the day

When I started the first generation of Tampa Taxi Shots, this was the photo I used in my first post in 2005. Its been a while. Yes, I was drinking a beer. I am over 21 and have wandered why my haters use this image against me. This was taken during a good time in my life. An episode I am trying to get back too. I am trying hard. posted from Bloggeroid

Tampa Taxi Shots and the future

Tim Fasano publisher of Tampa Taxi Shots I started this blog last year because I was bored. My original Tampa Taxi Shots was gone. I still had many of the images and the stories were still in my head. However, my ten year old laptop took a shit. Since then, I have been going to the library, but mostly loading with an android phone. That is a piss poor way of doing it. But its all I got. Today was the first time since 2007 that I did not owe United Cab money. I paid off the balance today, and actually got money back!!! At this pace, I should be able to buy a new laptop soon and be able to do some serious writing from the comfort of my home, instead of trying to write in a crowded computer lab with the guy in the green shirt (the same shirt he has had on for weeks) sitting across from you and chewing his tongue,  while making funny noises. The traffic on this site is growing and I know if I put myself 100% into it, I can make it big. July 4th is a good benchmark, and time to ...

Go to "Tim in Tampa" on Blogger

I driver taxi, take photos, hike, camp, and have many hobbies. This new blog is about me, and who I am. I feel much happier on this blog. Please check it out. at Tim In Tampa .

RNC documentary film by Tim Fasano

This was my first attempt to be a documentary film maker. It was shot during the Republican National Convention in Tampa 2012. It was a challenging task but I worked hard at it. My friend Kevin (who works in TV production) helped me film and edit this. But it was mostly my work. Please watch and let me know. I hope to cover a wide variety of topics.

Buccaneers training camp circa 1997

I was in a lot better shape then After watching the NFL draft, I was thinking about all the fun we use to have at training camp. We had a gang that would go every year. Back then, you could bring a cooler and take photos. Security was light. This is why people should shoot film or get their digital images turned into actual photos. Who knows where your 'photos' will be decades from now. Perhaps, all the technology we use today will be obsolete. I am glad I shot this roll of film at the Buccaneers training camp in 1997. I still have the photos. How cool is that! Bob, Scchuman (shoe), and Dean A different angle

A photo of me at the shop

The building to the left is United Cab of Tampa. It is known as "Gulf Coast Transportation." The building to the right are the upscale condos the were built recently. The circle in the middle is a mirror with me taking my image. I know this post is lame, but after working all day, I am beat. I have lots of photos and stories that will be up after I get a good nights sleep.

Many faces of Tim Fasano

Just some cellfees to get off my phone of me,, Tim Fasano. You can find me all over the internet.

Working hard at this

Working on Paul (the drunk guys) patio As you can see, I have been working hard driving the taxi and working on what version of this blog I want. I believe I will settle on the Blogger platform. Do not be fooled by this photo. I do not have a computer. My computer died about six months ago and I am using an android phone. That is all I have. Most of files and photos were backed up. So, no big deal. I do have a mobile version of Chrome that I use at the library. That is getting me through.
