Tampa Taxi Shots

No better ride out of the airport that will be smooth and put $75 plus tip in your pocket. I bet the Uber driver gets $20 and pays 20% to the company. He buys his gas (minimum ten bucks on this trip) so he pockets six bucks. Damn. Where can I get that job. I hear they are hiring all the United and Yellow rejects. posted from Bloggeroid

They were going to the Tradewinds Resort on St. Pete Beach next to Guy Harvey. I picked the ladies up at TIA and they were in for a teachers conference, and some R&R. I am very thankful after tourist season to be getting rides out to the beach. That was Sunday. Today, I got a ride to Bartow for $132 which I needed baldly. Luck does go in trends.

I had a ride to the Tradewinds resort and we passed Bats Taxi on St. Petersburg Beach. I had to direct my fares attention from their marquee because the advertising a rate to Tampa International Airport of $54. My meter was already over $75 and I did not want to field questions about our higher rate. What I hear is Bats has the beach sowed up. They make their money on volume. Cool. I just hope their lease payment is lower then ours.
