Stuck in the mud and a ripoff tow

Kevin and I went to a walkthrough at a nature preserve. It was full of wildlife and we even found an abandoned hunting cabin from decades ago. That was there long before civilization found its way to north Hillsborough county.

I'm glad we found the cabin because it began to rain like crazy. It rained for a good half hour before we could finish the hike. We then went as far as we could but much of the trails were flooded. You see I have boots on.

When we got back to the cars, there was standing water for we were in the grass. I started the cab and buried it in the mud. You should have been there. You would have laughed your ass off.

After waiting 2.5 hours for the tow, he winched me on to the parking lot and charged $100. I found out the charge should have been $45. I think the company will dispute this. I hope.

  1. You talk about it being slow and how you are not making any money yet you find the time to use a company car for a foolish and unpaid outing!

    1. First, its my car. Second, I have a mega YouTube channel which I receive a monthly check. The amount goes up as my millions of views, and thousands of subscribers continue to grow. This was very much "a paid outing."

  2. We got ripped off for a tow one time in Daytona Beach. As you drove up north on beach you went past the hard stuff but it wasn't obvious it was getting soft sand until it was too late. As it started to get soft we should have just turned toward water and made a big loop without stopping. But instead, stopped and tried to back up and got stuck. The tow trucks were just parked outside on main street waiting for another customer like a preying mantis waiting on a fly. Took all the money we had left for vacation just to pay to get pulled back about 100 feet. No checks, no credit cards in those days, all cash and when cash gone, you were SOL. I thnk my father bargained with him for all our money less $5.00 or so to buy gas so we could get back to Tampa (gas was 25c a gallon). Daytona city could have put signs up saying turn around here but they were all part of the scam, I think. This was back in days when you could drive on beach for free. Kennedy was president, and people worked hard hours to make money but like today, there are greedy SOB's that prey on people. Well, anyway, the cheating SOB tow truck driver is long dead. Hope that in Hell he is being drug around by a two chain through a big steaming pile of s**t

Happy Hillary Halloween

Is there anything scarier than Hillary. Some would say Donald Trump, perhaps. My friend set this up on his porch and I thought it was pretty cool. It's not really a political statement, it's just trying to show humor. Keep in mind, that we do live in an era where people seem to have lost their sense of humor. Anyway, if he done it with Donald Trump I would have still laughed. Happy Halloween!

Gabriel

Elena wanted me to post photos from Gabriel's first birthday party. Sorry I did not take more images but my phone went dead. Here is a stressed out hippy mama. You got to admit, Gabriel is a handsome young man. posted from Bloggeroid

BREAKING: HILLARY COLLAPSES IN NYC, STRUGGLES TO WALK, LOSES SHOE, RUSHE...

And you thought I was full of shit. Hillary is dying and needs to go to hospice and let the Presidency go to a more fit person. The lies are beyond belief. You liberals would vote for her if she was dead on election night and in a coffin. Alvin Toffler was right.

Yankee spring training photo shoot

I was in downtown Tampa this afternoon and saw a photographer working with a model in a skimpy baseball uniform. It had to be for some New York publication. The Yankees are here for spring training. There had to be a connection. She did have nice legs. posted from Bloggeroid

The political decision process on Uber

Today at the hockey arena in downtown Tampa, all of the local Tampa Bay state representatives and senators gathered  for the transportation hearing. What was first and foremost on the agenda was the subject of uber and its relationship to the Tampa Bay community. Both sides offered their reasons many of them anecdotal in nature. (Senator Jeff Brandes from St Petersburg, the one Center in the picture, came across as an arrogant asshole. He was rude and belligerent and combative with all speakers. This is an example of someone who bullied his way into a political position, no doubt. Sorry for the sidebar). State senator Arthenia Joyner was the best of the lot. She asked the most pointed questions and dug deep into the real issues. She pointed out to the room that seemed surprised to find out that all of the fees that apply to the cab companies by regulation uber has none of that. There are insurance requirements, licenses and fees, and fees associated with the airport authorit...

Pam Callahan Nature Preserve

I took a hike today in Pam Callahan Memorial Park and enjoyed this cool air. She was an environmental advocate who fought to protect this nature preserve from development. If you have a couple hours you can have a relaxing hike, and explore the new loop trail. What's cool is you will never know you are so close to civilization. I had fun.

Tampa from behind the wheel of a taxi cab

I shot this video a couple years ago when my computer was functional. I really need to get a new one. Anyway, I hope you like this. I did put some work into it.

The Taxi Driver who found Bigfoot (Documentary Film)

It seems that I may have been the only person in recent years that has actually found Bigfoot. I am a cab driver and this short documentary is about what I go thru and what I have been doing long before the Animal Planet "Finding Bigfoot" was on TV. They consider me a maverick but screw 'em.

Monday morning

Business has been slow. I'm not going to beat around the bush. I need shoes and shoe strings. I am broke and struggling. I am tired, frustrated, and dealing with real anger issues. I need time off, money, and rest. I can find none of this. My entire situation sucks. I want to blame someone. What compounds all of this are drivers willing to work around the clock for scant money (that forces me to do the same). I am exhausted and wish I could get a break. I do think one is coming up. United Cab is doing all they can do but the economy has greatly increased their expenses. I do hope to have a happier post at the end if the day.
