Where now?


The state of the business is sunk so low that I am facing homelessness. This was something that I debated  whether I should reveal that. I am out of fares, out of money, out of luck, and out of a place to live.

The very forces I was counting on to come through for me, have failed. The transportation commission seems to have no power or authority to do anything about Uber. With Tea Party politicians and corrupt judges on Uber's side, we have no chance.

The only good thing is I ddon't owe the company any money. I have managed to pay United Cab the daily $100 leases six days a week, plus gas. After coffee and food, the end of a 10 hour day leaves me with basically nothing. It should not be that way.

I am 59 years old and on the streets. I am not lazy. I work 70 hours a week. Because of Uber I make peanuts. Someone said go driver for Uber. I would if I had a car. I have the lease cab and twenty bucks in my pocket. Not gonna do much there. Maybe tomorrow I can make enough to get a cheap motel room to shower and have a bed to sleep well in.

The only thing in my life I look forward to is my swimming. I am getting in great shape and look forward to my workouts. Thank God for that. Other than that, I am tired.

I am learning exceptence. I think of all the things iv'e had to except. Its been a load. Doesn't seem fair. I'm not a bad person. Because of Uber, my life is altered. This shall pass; I hope.

    Taxi company realizes what is going on, you'd think they'd lower lease payment rather than lose a long time driver and have yet another car sitting empty making nothing.

We know the laws of physics, gravity, time itself is dependent on the bearing of the observer. If once immutable laws are relative, is our past an illusion? What if everything you ever experienced was just a product of your mind?. Orwell's  posters are gas lighting tactics used by the intolerant left to make you think what you know is real is not. They want you to reject what all the great thinkers for two thousands years have agreed on. Our history is going. Saturday night in Tampa

I thought I was a dirty old man. "The Senator' takes the cake because he is real (friend of the taxi man), 58 years old, and gets massive ass. He is a legend at the Castle in Ybor City, and in Tampa pop culture. Pop for his hard-on he sports in the clubs. I was going to say it takes balls to do what he does, but balls it is. Hay, I got a thong and a Cuban cigar. Monica would be happy (sorry for the 1997 reference,).

Pam Callahan Nature Preserve

I took a hike today in Pam Callahan Memorial Park and enjoyed this cool air. She was an environmental advocate who fought to protect this nature preserve from development. If you have a couple hours you can have a relaxing hike, and explore the new loop trail. What's cool is you will never know you are so close to civilization. I had fun.

Las Vegas Taxi Shots

My new blog about Vegas taxi There is a rule of the jungle "adapt or perish." I try to live by that in how I approach taxi driving. Dynamics change and you must be attuned to that and work in different ways. Uber presents something, however, that I can't adjust to. They have taken just too much from us. I don't know if I want to continue living in Tampa now. In the service industry, you can only make real money four months out of the year. The good news is today is the beginning of that four month run. The airport will be my only hope. I don't have it in me to keep going on after that, especially in the face of Uber. Kendrick Meek defied Bill Clinton in Florida senate race

Bill Clinton wanted Kendrick Meeks (D) Miami, to drop out of the Florida Senate race against Marco Rubio. Rubio is an extremist who had senator Mike Fasano (R) New Port Richey, kicked out of the Republican party because he supported Charlie Crist. I met with Meeks in Tampa (I ran for congress in 2008..look it up) and urged him to defy Bill Clinton and stay in the race. Independent polling showed the race getting tight. Crist screwed Meeks by running as an independent and now we are stuck with Rubio.

The Taxi Driver who found Bigfoot (Documentary Film)

It seems that I may have been the only person in recent years that has actually found Bigfoot. I am a cab driver and this short documentary is about what I go thru and what I have been doing long before the Animal Planet "Finding Bigfoot" was on TV. They consider me a maverick but screw 'em.
