A champions workout

I am currently using SwimPlan.com for all my workouts. The algorithms in their computer generated workouts peg me as a beginner (100 free repeats between 2:25 - 2:40 with 20 seconds rest). The next level is slow. Geeez. I do have a Li f way to go but I am enjoying the journey.

I used to be a breaststroker so I had the program kick out a cool workout for me today. I love this program and will never run out of workouts.

Warm up

• 4 x 50yd Freestyle Swim (even pace), rest 0:15 / 50yd [Easy]
Freestyle swim at a steady pace.

Build up

• 8 x 25yd 50/50 Freestyle + Breaststroke, rest 0:10 / 25yd [Aerobic]
Swim alternate lengths of Freestyle and Breaststroke. If you prefer, you can split longer distances by units instead of pool lengths e.g. Swim 100 Freestyle followed by 100 Breaststroke.

Core (repeat 2 times)

• 2 x 100yd Breaststroke Swim, rest 0:20 / 100yd [Aerobic]
• 4 x 50yd Breaststroke (25yd Easy, 25yd Effort), rest 0:15 / 50yd [Aerobic]
Breaststroke swim at a slow, relaxed pace for 25yd, followed by a Freestyle swim at a fast pace for 25yd. Recover during the easy part of the swim.

Warm down

• 2 x 50yd Freestyle Easy, rest 0:15 / 50yd [Easy]
Freestyle swim at a slow, relaxed pace.

Intensity key

Easy: 50-60% of your maximum heart rate

Aerobic: 60-70% of your maximum heart rate

Endurance: 70-80% of your maximum heart rate

Sprint: 80-90% of your maximum heart rate

I may have found the escape hatch Regulated Taxi driving is now dead. Uber has taken over. The Storms of Chance

Once in a great while the storms of change will overshadow the plans of man. That would happen today. A cold wind blew over Tampa Bay this morning, a brief repose from the subtropical heat ever-present most of the year. The cool air felt good on my face and brought my spirits to a new high. Uber works the five dollar fares on Howard (big fucking deal)

Uber driver Daryl Rodgers knows what he will find when driving after midnight on the weekends. “I had a lot of people who couldn’t tell what they remember from that night, they would pass out in my passenger seat until I got to their destination,” said Rodgers. The number of DUI arrest made by Tampa Police has dropped dramatically this year. For the first six months of 2014 TPD made 1124 dui arrest. Requiem for the taxi industry

We lost. Its over. Uber won in court. A republican judge ignored law and ruled Uber to be legal. They do not abide by regulations but politicians and judges don't care. The number of lives that are adversely affected by Circuit Judge Huey is immeasurable. I should be upset but I'm not. Actually, I'm over it. I have moved on. I am making money off of YouTube and will soon open a new moneymaking channel along with my swimming blog. I am done with taxi driving. The hipsters want Uber so bad, they can have it. Sukka the cat

There is a lady I pick up every morning that puts $100 in my pocket (paid by our great accounts). Her cat comes out and loves me and rubs up on me every morning. Uber has nothing like this. United Cab driver's are rocking out while Uber punks live for nine dollar fares that they have to give 20% to Ubet. Great gig guys. LOL! Redlining practices of Uber and Lyft exclude Black People

Uber and Lyft are companies formed in Lilly white silicon valley, by Lilly white computer geeks, who would not know what the hood looked like even if they ventured into Oakland. They have put together a business model that is for white people, and excludes blacks, and most poor people. Their intent is to only cheery pick the best, and richest fares in any community, and Redline the hood and poor areas. This is easily done by allowing the drivers to not only choose where they work, but allow them to choose who they will pick up. The driver can rate the customer and, then, nobody will pick them up. If the rider does not tip (which is cultural and common with inner city people), they will get a bad rating and no Uber or Lyft guy will pick them up. I must pick them up even if they don't tip.
