Now that the clouds are clearing up and the rain has gone away. The cold weather should be upon us as the cold front moves in. We have not had any real Winters in this part of Florida for about six years. That is changing now, as we will be near freezing again this weekend.
Meteorologist at the University of Florida were correct decades ago when they said the I-4 Corridor was the freeze line in Florida. It was based on this information, that the Citrus industry established their grows primarily in this part of Florida.
The nip and Tuck cold weather is necessary to ensure sweetness of the fruit. Climate change has not happened in this part of Florida apparently. Because we were still on the freeze line.
