Tampa Taxi Shots

These are some of my clips from earlier in the year while Bigfoot hunting. I am learning the art of documentary film making and employed many techniques in these videos. Florida Sasquatch is the name of my popular YouTube channel.

A hiking adventure awaits Someone told me to take a hike...so I did. I took advantage of a long ride I had out of TIA that went deep US 301 near Manatee River State Park. I got $100 cash while Uber driver would have done it for $20 and given up twenty percent. I dropped my fare off at a campground 500 yards from the trail head of this cool trail. I circled around and parked at the gate. I always keep my hiking polls in the trunk, so I knew I would have good footing. This trail has a lot of roots and the polls help me a lot. I did not have my backpack, so I had no water. Unfortunately, I had no water so I would have to limit the hike to one hour. There is a primitive campsite about 3.5 miles into it. I did take some time off to be with family and good friends for the Halloween weekend. I needed the distraction. I am sure you know that the HCPTC has entered into a temporary agreement with Uber. They are not going to get far. What is not known is that United Cab is tired of this illegal shit - the cowardly commission and politicians - who are shaking in their boots because of Uber. We are not. United Cab has a court hearing next week in which we have filed for an injunctive relief under the fairness clause of the Florida Constitution. Under the current plan, Uber will still not follow the laws and regulations, and they will do what they want. Taxi companies will still have to pay exorbitant fees which Uber is not compelled to pay. Yes, we did have fun on the camping trip.

Sign post for the Florida Trail I had an opportunity to travel to the Green Swamp wilderness west track to do an overnight back country backpacking trip with our FaceBook group. This outing was organized by Nick who is new to Bigfoot and doing a great job.  I got there around one and headed down main grade road to find the cut for the Florida Trail which would headed north to the camp. I passed a bunch of campers at the equestrIan camp who must of thought I looked funny dragging a suitcase like I was looking for the Hilton.

I took a hike today in Pam Callahan Memorial Park and enjoyed this cool air. She was an environmental advocate who fought to protect this nature preserve from development. If you have a couple hours you can have a relaxing hike, and explore the new loop trail. What's cool is you will never know you are so close to civilization. I had fun.
