My favorite year coming up

The last vestiges of sunlight are gone over Tampa Bay. This year things slowly have begun to improve. I am hoping 2014 is my favorite year. It needs to be.

Is Oaklawn Cemetery downtown Tampa haunted?

Tom and I recently went to Oaklawn cemetery in downtown Tampa. This was in July and I ended up changing my shirt! This was in the Catholic section Tom knew there were many Civil War veterens and Jose Martinez Ybor, amoung others, buried here. Tom taking my photo! The tomb of Ybor of Ybor City fame Tim Fasano checking it out The entry to Oaklawn Cemetery Tampa

From The Front Seat: Buccaneers fire Greg Schiano

With the loses mounting and attendance falling, the owners of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had no choice but to fire Greg Schiavo. EVERYONE I talk to in the taxi is glad for that. Wow. Now we move on.

A late happy Holidays and New Year

I found this Christmas tribute on Kevin's channel (he is playing guitar in the video below). I had been looking for it. I think it still fits for the holiday season. Happy New Year everyone.

Tampa has a WORSHIP PROBLEM

Watch Kevin Thomas Kehl get down on guitar as his band performs their hit Christian single "Wrap Me in Your Arms." We are all very proud of their success. Its not all about Bigfoot. BF cannot be a Christian, a hope offered to all humanity. Its an animal.

Cigar City Cabbie profiled ny local blog

Go to Yborcitystogie.blogspot.com to see the article about Cigar City Cabbie. There is much paranormal activity in the Tampa Bay area and I am the night stalker

Taxi Tales Blog links to Tampa Taxi Shots

A screen shot of the blog One thing I have noticed is the hate you find in Bigfoot research does not seem to exist with Taxi bloggers. They, unlike the Sasquatch boys, will link with each other. None of us are out for a great discovery (only a decent tip, if you could be so kind). Taxi Tales (a British Blogger) has linked to me in his sidebar and I will return the favor. How cool is that? I just took a short look at his blog and he seems to keep it up on a regular basis. Good. The last thing you want to do is let a blog go dormet.

The job is almost fun again

The last five years have been brutal. The economic collapse left service workers in Tampa in destitution. I only wish the people responsible for this to die horrible, painful deaths. No amount of pain would be enough for those greedy bastards. Ten percent of my life down the fucking tube. No Arizona, no days off, no money, wearing dirty cloths, eating shit out of the toilet (you get used to it after a while). Anyway, the business is clearly getting better as this holiday season has been active for the first time since 2007. You understand that?..2007. I only hope this is not an illusion.

Cigar City Cabbie

This is the revival of the taxi blog I have published since 2007. Check it out at www.cigarcitycabbie. com

Tony Zappone's book

This is from Gerald Blaine's blog who debunked the Kennedy detail as a secret service agent: Love this book! Photographer Tony Zappone is to be commended for this moving, gripping, time capsule of a book! This unique book wonderfully captures JFK's visit to Tampa, FL on 11/18/63. The Kennedys famously told fellow photographer Cecil Stoughton "show us where we were"! Tony has succeeded here admirably! A book like no other. Buy it here: http://www.jfktampa.com/index.html

Merry Christmas to all

I want to wish everyone in Bigfoot (including Chuck Prahl) a very merry Christmas and happy new year. May this research continue on. Yes, I did have fun today on the great prairie of central Florida.

Seasons Greatings from Hoss

Hoss wishes everyone in the Tampa taxi business a very special Seasons Greatings and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

No Christmas dinner for taxi drivers this year

NOTE: this was from last year. United Cab did not have an Xmas dinner for the drivers this year. What a great Christmas dinner we had this year at United Cab. Mr. Rob Searcy has done this every year since he became the manager. It is quite a gesture on his part and I, for one, really enjoy it. There is nothing that says he has to do it - he just does. The food is good and I like socializing with the staff and other drivers. This year it was catered by Steve Brooks (a driver) who did a fantastic job. There was turkey, ham, stuffing, green bean casserole, pie, shrimp pasta, salad, fruit and on and on. YUM!!! In the center of the photo with the white shirt on is Mr. Searcy and his nice wife. The lady sitting in front of them is Jean, who has been the office manager for sixteen years (a true New Yorker). You can also see Lisa, Eric, Joe (standing) Bill and Scott. The guy standing to the right with the white shirt on is Stevie. His catering service really did this right with a touch of s

My Christmas arraignment

On the left is the Thanksgiving card from Tom and Sandy; on the right is the Christmas card from Teri and Kevin; u front are the batteries George gave me as a Christmas gift. How lucky am I. Merry Xmas to all! The video below is from "Meet me in St. Louis." The ending lyric was later changed because it was too sad "muddle through somehow."

Peace and Merry Christmas

May the Christmas season fill you with joy. May 2014 bring you blessings. I have been blessed. The photo on the bottom shows my tent on a cold night. The comforter was a Xmas gift a few years ago from my sister-in-law Sandy. It is the warmest blanket ever. From MEET ME IN ST LOUIS: Have yourself a merry little Christmas, Let your heart be light From now on, our troubles will be out of sight Have yourself a merry little Christmas, Make the Yule-tide gay, From now on,  our troubles will be miles away. Here we are as in olden days, Happy golden days of yore. Faithful friends who are dear to us Gather near to us once more. Through the years  We all will be together, If the Fates allow Hang a shining star upon the highest bough. And have yourself A merry little Christmas now.

Don't drink and drive during the holidays

To be safe durinig the holidays, if you have had to much to drink, call a taxi cab. Just hope the cabbie has not had as much as you! Merry Christmas!

Do you know this prostitute?

I was pulling up to the vacuum at the Shell station and Valerie was passed out next to it. I did a post on the old TTS which featured Valerie passed out in front of my neighbors door. The article was called "A pack of Newports and pizza" or something like that. It was years ago and her situation is still pathetic. Maybe ObamaCare will get her the help she needs. Not likely. Very sad. I remember when she first came to Tampa 15 years ago. She was young, thin, and pretty. A classic case of being on the run, going street level, and hanging with the wrong crowd. I see it all the time. Nobody seems able to help and she will just end up back in jail.

Happy Holidays from Ybor City

I dropped off in Ybor City and noticed some Christmas decorations. I took these images just ad the sun was rising. The street lights over 7th ave are there a year round, in case youve never been here at night.

Merry Christmas to all

Every year we take advantage of the cool air, and dry conditions, and go on a Bigfoot outing. Today, we went further birth then we usually do, and entered into different terrains.

The Doll House

The Doll House is a girlie dance club in Tampa where you can get an alcoholic drink. It is topless which avoids the ban applied to the nude clubs. I took some guys there today who were in town for the San Francisco 49er game and went here afterwards. They got very drunk and left half their shit inside. They were hoping the club has a lost and found.

The last NFL home game of the season

The Bucs hung in there to the end but the 49ers had just too much for them in the end. I like home games because you can make money at them. When you pick up in the taxi area, you never know where anyone is going. The trick is to avoid getting stuck in heavy traffic.

Christmas tree downtown Tampa

They lit the Christmas tree in Curtis Hixon park last Friday night. Clouds were rolling in that made this image mire dramatic. Framing the tree with the illuminated fountains was a nice touch. I wish I had taken these shots.

Pam Callahan Nature Preserve

I took a hike today in Pam Callahan Memorial Park and enjoyed this cool air. She was an environmental advocate who fought to protect this nature preserve from development. If you have a couple hours you can have a relaxing hike, and explore the new loop trail. What's cool is you will never know you are so close to civilization. I had fun.

Deveante Bell is human sewage (taxi driver killer)

Homicide detectives have made an arrest in the murder of a Tampa cab driver. Deveante Bell, 19, is charged with the death of Yellow Cab driver John Dooley. Dooley, 56, was found in his cab in the driveway of an abandoned house at Eskimo and 18th Street near Rowlett Park around 7:45 Sunday evening. I risk my life as a taxi driver everyday and have to worry about useless hood rats like Deveante (did they make that ducking name up?!) that just want to rob and kill folks. Did you know they shot the cabbie while the car was moving, in cold blood. I hope he gets life and spends most of it being ganged raped over and over. I bet he walks around with his pants hanging down, like most black youths do and leave their shit stains in my cab. He is human (not sure about that) shit and looks like it.

Slain cab driver worked the hood

Working the hood at night is not good for a cab driver. There is a preponderance of short fares, now shows, laundry, no shows, runners, and angry people, to make it unprofitable, and annoying to the driver. You could work it all night, and not make a dime and be treated like shit the whole time. Was it worth it for Mr. Dooley to work the hood? It sucks that with so little street business, and a flood of third world drivers, forces guys pulling s hack to take risk.

Tampa cabbie killed

A cab driver was killed in Tampa early Monday morning in Tampa. He was robbed and shot according to police. He picked them up in a crime ridden area at night. He did not deserve this. In 18 years of driving cab, I never pick up in bad parts of town and this is why. Being a cab driver, you have no life insurance or medical insurance. His family, now, has nothing. Sad. Very sad. Below is from a news source: Police are trying to identify two men who are believed to have shot and killed a taxi cab driver in Tampa's Sulphur Springs neighborhood.  A neighbor found 56-year-old John Dooley dead in his taxi, outside an abandoned home on Sunday night. Police won't say right now whether this was an attempted robbery or something else. Officers say a neighbor was driving near N. 18th Street and Humphrey Street when he saw the taxi parked along the side of a house the neighbor knew was vacant. That neighbor got concerned and got out of his own car to walk up and talk to the driver. But

Raymond James stadium at kickoff

They were shooting fireworks off just moments before kickoff of the Buffalo Bills and Tampa Bay Bucs. Its hard to see them in this image but you could hear them. The crowds are getting thin. However, the Bugs have won 4 of their last five.
